My daughter Quinn started with Midda in September 2023 and loved it from the get go. She was invited to be a Junior Instructor so I went along with her to see what it was all about and from that moment on I was hooked and wanted to be a part of the Midda team!
I had always been interested in learning martial arts but believed I was now "too old" to get started but James' belief in my abilities and potential encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and prove myself wrong and now I love every second of being part of the team (even on cardio days!)
Every day when I go to a class I'm excited to see all the students and catch up with what they have been doing, watch them learn new moves, share their triumphs with them and encourage them to believe in their own abilities. I think it's because I can relate to what they are going through as I'm on the same Martial arts journey with them and I really love that about my work.
Everyone believes martial arts is just about punches, kicks, and self defence but it's so much more than that. It's a way to focus your mind, learn about respect and discipline and
build confidence within yourself and in your abilities all while having loads of fun.
Josh
I had a friend who was taking part in Martial Arts classes and after discussions between his mum and my mum, my mum decided it would be a good idea to sign me up for the classes.
Martial Arts was a place where I could channel my energy and it taught me essential life skills such as discipline, focus and respect, whilst also helping me with my self-confidence and teaching me how to defend myself should I ever need to.
Having to work my way up through the belts encouraged me to be dedicated, committed and to work hard. Each new belt gave me an incredible sense of achievement.
It is important to me to now teach others these skills and help them, not only growing up but also for their futures as these are skills that you never forget and take with you throughout your life.
James
James has been Training Martial Arts for since he was 14 years old and been Teaching Successful Martial Arts Schools from 17.
James began because of a major lack of Self-Confidence.
“My Mum and Dad had split up the previous year that effected me massively, i was just lost and felt the whole world on my shoulders. My Mum was the one that saw Martial Arts as something that would be great for me after seeing a demonstration at the local park. I went along to the Introduction session quite sceptical as a typical Teenager would. After I was welcomed and made to feel apart of the family I was hooked for life.”
"My focus for my classes are to empower you and your child to believe in yourself to achieve the goals and solve the issues you are having in everyday life. From Self-Confidence to Self-Control I will do my very best to help you every step of the way!"
"My boys really enjoy the class. They have learnt a lot in the short amount of time that they have been there. I definitely recommend!"
"We cannot recommend Midda enough! Great instructing, positivity, firm but fun and gains the respect of the children by giving it"
"The coaches are great with the kids, enthusiastic and clearly enjoys teaching them! My 7 year old daughter loves the class!"
